Programs

Developing the Dream Team
The CBALC offers a six-month program for individuals and corporations desiring to take their team effectiveness to an unprecedented level.

The relationship begins with a full assessment of current team dynamics and working behaviors. This assessment, along with a determination of the group’s desired outcomes, becomes the foundation of the training. The initial assessment is made through a series of phone interviews, on-site visits and online assessment tools.

We then focus time and energy on developing your team’s effectiveness during a two-day retreat. This highly interactive process requires collaboration and input from every team member; the experience will begin a major transformation for all involved.

After the retreat, the CBALC will support your team for the next six months through email, phone calls and on-site visits. Our staff will coach and mentor you during this period, with the goal of further refining the new behaviors your team has adopted. At the end of the six-month period, individuals will be able to consistently and effectively hold themselves and others accountable for behavior that is in line with the team’s core values. The result? A stronger, happier and more productive team.
Group Energizer Session
The Group Energizer Session brings your group closer together through a fun and challenging half or full day of activities. The Energizer is designed to compliment your group’s already-existing conference, planning or training session taking place in Crested Butte. Your group will engage in activities including, but not limited to: navigating challenges on CBALC’s ropes course, tackling CBALC’s urban orienteering course or conquering team initiatives.

Framed by fragrant pine and aspen trees and featuring stunning mountain views in every direction, the setting for CBALC’s ropes course on Mt. Crested Butte could not be more breathtaking or inspiring.

A typical day out at the ropes course starts off in the shady grove of trees just next to the course, where groups take part in an initiative, or team-building experience. On the low elements, individuals are presented with exercises that require critical thinking and teamwork. The high ropes course offers more of the same, only at a considerable distance off the ground.

CBALC’s urban orienteering course consists of an unconventional historical tour of Crested Butte. This event enrolls the creativity of your group to locate strategically-placed medallions throughout town. Problem solving, collaboration, leadership skills, map and compass skills and resource management all play into this session.

With the Group Energizer Session, individuals take away new insight about themselves and tools to increase their work productivity.
